Wig Wearing Community

Wig Wearing Community

Words cannot explain how amazing it is to meet other women experiencing hair loss in person, rather than just online.

As many of you know, not only did we host a small get together in Paris & London, but also attended the Alopecia UK Big Weekend in March.

Yesterday, we met up with so many women at different stages of their journey during our Toronto pop up.

Then, today we flew to Florida to attend the Hair Loss Sisterhood retreat where approximately 60 women have come together to share their experience, catch up and have fun together.

We can honestly say that the women we’ve met online are even more amazing in person, and as intimidating as it can feel to join a group of women for either a pop up, event or dinner, it’s so rewarding as well.

Most of the women we have met are either just getting diagnosed, seeking treatment options, etc. OR are 5-10+ years down the line and are able to swap not only hair loss horror stories, but also point people in the right direction.

Being part of this community is so important, supportive and can be life changing because as mentioned previously, friends & family may not fully understand what you’re going through if they haven’t experienced it themselves.

For those who may be hesitant, on the fence or don’t know where to start, we cannot recommend reaching out to another Hair loss sister who would be able to offer you guidance and support.
